ONE PERSON CQB / HOME DEFENSE
OVERVIEW
The One-Person CQB & Home Defense Course is designed for responsible armed citizens who want to develop the knowledge and practical skills necessary to respond to a violent threat inside their home. Unlike military or law enforcement team-based CQB, this course focuses on the unique challenges faced by individuals who may be forced to protect themselves or their loved ones while alone and before law enforcement arrives.
COURSE ELEMENTS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

Understand the principles of single-person Close Quarters Battle (CQB) as they apply to civilian home defense.

Develop a comprehensive home defense plan based on the layout of their residence and family considerations.

Identify strengths, vulnerabilities, and likely points of entry within a residential structure.

Apply safe movement techniques while navigating hallways, doorways, corners, and confined spaces.

Understand the proper use of cover, concealment, and angles of advantage inside a structure.

Learn threat identification and shoot/no-shoot decision-making principles.

Recognize when movement is appropriate and when securing or barricading is the safer option.

Understand the legal and ethical considerations of defending oneself and others inside the home.

Improve situational awareness and decision-making in rapidly evolving environments.

Apply defensive flashlight techniques and low-light considerations during home defense situations.

Develop effective communication strategies for family members during critical incidents.

Learn methods for safely accessing and deploying a defensive firearm within the home.

Understand the physiological effects of stress and how they impact performance during violent encounters.

Participate in scenario-based exercises designed to reinforce defensive tactics and critical decision-making.

Apply proven defensive principles to improve survivability while minimizing unnecessary risk during a home invasion or other violent encounter.
WHO CAN ATTEND
Responsible adults 18 years and older who are legally allowed to own and purchase firearms.
